Shine Bright Clean Ltd – Terms & Conditions

By booking a service with Shine Bright Clean Ltd, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

 

1. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due on the day of the clean unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Commercial clients will be invoiced according to agreed terms.
  • Failure to make payment may result in future bookings being refused.
  • Late payments may incur administration fees and debt recovery costs.
  • All prices include VAT where applicable.

2. Pricing

Standard Clean

£23 per hour

Deep Clean

£27 per hour

Oven Cleaning

Price available upon request.

Minimum Booking

A minimum booking of 2 hours applies to all cleaning services.

3. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the appointment incur no charge.
  • Cancellations made within 72 hours of the appointment will incur a charge of 25% of the booking value.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will incur a charge of 50% of the booking value.
  • Same-day cancellations, refusal of entry, or no access provided will be charged in full.
  • If a cleaner has already travelled to the property, the booking will be fully chargeable.

4. Multiple Cleaner Policy

When two or more cleaners attend a property, the total labour hours are shared between the cleaners.

Example:

• 1 cleaner working for 6 hours = 6 labour hours

• 2 cleaners working for 3 hours each = 6 labour hours

• 3 cleaners working for 2 hours each = 6 labour hours

Clients are charged for total labour hours completed.

Using multiple cleaners allows work to be completed more efficiently and in less time.

Example:
A 6-hour clean may take:

  • 1 cleaner = 6 hours on site
  • 2 cleaners = approximately 3 hours on site
  • 3 cleaners = approximately 2 hours on site

The total charge remains based on 6 labour hours.

5. Cleaning Standards

Standard Clean Includes:

  • General dusting
  • Kitchen surface cleaning
  • Bathroom cleaning
  • Vacuuming
  • Mopping
  • Emptying bins

Deep Clean Includes:

Everything included in a Standard Clean, plus:

  • Skirting boards
  • Doors and door frames
  • Light switches
  • Detailed bathroom descaling
  • Additional kitchen degreasing

Detailed Clean Includes:

Everything included in a Deep Clean, plus:

  • Internal windows
  • Radiators
  • Detailed attention to fixtures and fittings
  • Areas requiring additional time and detailing

Any work requested outside the booked service may incur additional charges.

6. Condition of Property

  • Quotes are based on the information provided by the client.
  • If the property is significantly dirtier than described, additional hours may be required.
  • Any additional work required will be discussed with the client before continuing where possible.
  • Shine Bright Clean Ltd reserves the right to revise pricing where conditions differ substantially from those described.

7. Complaints Procedure

  • Any concerns regarding a clean must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.
  • Photographs may be requested to assist with investigations.
  • Shine Bright Clean Ltd reserves the right to inspect or rectify any issues before refunds are considered.
  • Refunds will not be issued where a re-clean has been offered and declined.

8. Quality Checks

  • Clients who are present at the property may be asked to inspect the work before cleaners leave.
  • Concerns raised after approval may not be eligible for a refund or re-clean.

9. Before & After Photographs

  • We may take before and after photographs for quality control, training, insurance and marketing purposes.
  • Personal photographs, documents, family portraits, or identifying information will not be published without permission.
  • Clients may request that photographs are not used for marketing purposes.

10. Access to Property

  • Clients must provide safe and reasonable access to the property.
  • If cleaners are unable to gain entry, the booking may be charged in full.
  • Delays caused by the client will count towards the booked cleaning time.

11. Health & Safety

Our cleaners reserve the right to refuse work where conditions are unsafe, including but not limited to:

  • Aggressive behaviour
  • Harassment
  • Drug use
  • Dangerous animals
  • Hazardous waste
  • Biohazards

If a cleaner leaves due to health and safety concerns, the booking remains chargeable.

12. Respect Policy

Shine Bright Clean Ltd operates a zero-tolerance policy towards abuse, threatening behaviour, discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate conduct towards staff.

Any client displaying such behaviour may have their service terminated immediately and may be permanently removed from our client list.

13. Break Policy

During periods of extreme weather or long shifts, cleaners may take short welfare breaks.

These breaks are included within working time and are essential for health, safety and wellbeing.

14. Liability

While every care is taken, Shine Bright Clean Ltd cannot be held responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage
  • General wear and tear
  • Faulty fixtures and fittings
  • Defective appliances
  • Poor maintenance issues (such as leaking taps causing recurring limescale)

Any concerns regarding damage must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.

15. Cleaner Availability & Cover Policy

  • While we aim to send the same cleaner(s) whenever possible, this cannot be guaranteed.
  • Due to holidays, sickness, emergencies, training, staff availability or operational requirements, Shine Bright Clean Ltd reserves the right to substitute cleaners where necessary.
  • All cleaners follow the same procedures and are trained to maintain consistent service standards.
  • Replacement cleaners will be provided with relevant property notes where appropriate.
  • No discounts, refunds or compensation will be provided solely because a different cleaner attends.

16. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a service with Shine Bright Clean Ltd, the client confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
